20KM Enduro “Push” Race & Team Relay
The Enduro is a 20km skateboard push race that is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!! All you need is a board, a helmet and some grit to get through it.
There are tons of awesome prizes and $2,000 in cash prizes across the Enduro and Skate+Shoot so grab some friends and come out and skate!
There will be a BBQ & Beer garden all day as well as a DJ throwing down tunes for your afternoon enjoyment!
10KM Skate + Shoot “Biathlon”
In the Skate + Shoot, your entry includes the use of a regulation .22 caliber target rifle, and all the ammunition you’ll need for the race. The course consists of 2 laps of the rolling 5km course, and 2 stops at the range. For each of the 5 targets missed, racers must skate an extra 150m penalty lap.
Want to know more? The Skate + Shoot will be run very similarly to the Winter Biathlon.
Here is a map of the Whistler Olympic Park
“The racer will fire the small bore rifle, which weighs at least 3.5 kilograms (7.7 lb), excluding ammunition and magazines. The rifles use .22 LR ammunition and are bolt action or Fortner (straight-pull bolt) action. The target range shooting distance is 50 metres (160 ft). There are five circular targets to be hit in each shooting round. We will NOT BE CARRYING THE RIFLES and will be shooting in the prone position (laying down) at a target diameter is 115 millimetres (4.5 in). On all modern biathlon ranges, the targets are self-indicating, in that they flip from black to white when hit, giving the racer as well as the spectators instant visual feedback for each shot fired.” — wikipedia.org/biathlon
